Mr george galbraith was the proprietor of maryborough's custom house hotel when it was built in 1868. The hotel had a brush with fame in 1989 when it was used as a setting for the filming of the movie "the delinquents" starring kylie minogue. Its past elegance reflects the rapid growth of the port at the time of the 1867 gympie gold rush. 1883 saw the customs house extended. The ghosts of a man, women and two children have been said to pass through closed doors in an upstairs room of the hotel.

As an artist living on the Fraser Coast, it’s difficult not to be inspired by the richness of this region's wildlife. I am also glad to be piece of a vibrant arts and cultural community that offers me the opportunity to grow creatively. Our Fraser Coast is an initiative of Fraser Coast Regional Council. Works will include landscaping and the creation of public artworks. Council seeks expressions of interest from suitably competent artists residing in the Fraser Coast to flourish a concept and to paint a street artwork on the side of the creative space. From Fraser Island the world's largest sand Island to the heritage streets capes of Marlborough from the rich farmlands of taro, to the sheltered waters of Harvey Bay, one of Australia's maximum popular beach destinations from impaired mining villages to peaceful seaside retreats set on the shoreline of the Immense Sandy Strait. Located on the coast east of Marlborough, Boonooroo has a range of general services and facilities including a bowls club, golf course, tennis court and bike and boat hire. A visit to the world's largest sand island is a must do for everyone. To truly appreciate the unusual spontaneous beauty of Fraser Island, you must experience it beginning hand. The tame stinger release waterways and endless stretches of white sandy beaches of Harvey Bay and the nearby seaside villages of Toogoom and Burr um Heads are accurate for year round swimming, boating and fishing. There are great swimmings and fishing spots as healthy as boat ramps along the nearby Burr um River, and a beautiful country golf course. The rock fishing at River Heads is excellent and if you are an avid angler, you won't want to miss the fishing there. Our people are the heart of our Fraser Coast. Here are honest some of the stories of the many interesting people and places of our Fraser Coast. A journey through life which touches on love of friends, family and nature. School holiday workshop for children of all ages. Immerse yourself in nature, art and culture. All children coming from our learn to swim’ program progress into our development squads and then later progression involves choosing whether you wish to swim pleasure ally or competitively. Students' works across a range of ingenious fields including visual art, performing arts, design and technology. Face the artists and discover the inspiration after their artworks. The Bond Place Museum is one of the largest museum collections celebrating this early history and one of the city's oldest buildings. The Fraser Coast Arts Collective are a group of local artists and arts professionals who aid Council's Cultural Services team to produce training, mentor ship and opportunities for career development. How many works will you be required to create? If anyone has a book or two that they think others would enjoy, they can fair pop it into any street library they are walking past. What’s The Story? I am also happy to be segment of a vibrant arts and cultural community that offers me the opportunity to grow creatively. See A Blend of Visual Experience at Ga takers Art space from 128 May.
